Hola Fellow Rockets! You may remember that I only attended Rich East through sophmore year, then we moved to Florida. My Florida alumni are scattered to the winds, so I was very pleased (and honored) when you found me. I recently moved back to hometown Chicago after 28 years in Minnesota, where I raised two fine daughters, Claire and Liz. I have worked mostly in the arts, served as Minnesota state film commissioner for many years, and participated in about 70 films such as FARGO and GRUMPY OLD MEN (Jesse Ventura was one of my bosses!). I also ran the Gene Siskel Film Center here in Chicago.

Now, I work at the National Museum of Mexican Art, which is a great institution on the southside in the Pilsen neighborhood. I have been lucky to have great, interesting and fun jobs, and to do my part in changing the world. Our museum opens an immigration exhibition in July, which I hope you will visit. I may not make the reunion, because my new bride Barbara and I get back from our Greece and Turkey honeymoon on June 27.

Memories of Rich East: Herr Gunn's insane, but effective German class; freshman PE dance classes (with girls!); Coach Hafner yelling, "No guts, Adamsick" on the basketball court (my mom told him to stop yelling at me!); Al Beshanky's dad calling timeout from the bleechers at a game (true story); choking at every major tennis match while Ron Swee went on to become a sports superstar (how did that happen?); Chris Wray turning me down for homecoming (and setting the standard for my future relationships with women); Ron and Paul Epner taking the bus all the way to Florida to surprise me; Mr. Marcotte's fantastic speech class, and his famous blunder at assembly (anyone remember what I am talking about here??). I had a great experience at Rich East, which was never really equalled anywhere else. Nice to be in touch with you all.
