Sorry folks, will not be attending the reunion although there certainly are people I'd like to visit with again...Former broadcaster entered the real estate business over 30 years ago. Lived in Davenport, Iowa as Exec. VP of the Board of REALTORS between 1991 and 2000 at which time we moved to Holland, Michigan. I am CEO of the West Michigan Lakeshore Association of REALTORS. Met my great wife LaVonne while in Iowa at a time I said I'd never remarry. Two kids, my son is an independent film maker and my daugther is in management with Target Stores and sings in a blues band in northern, Illinois. In Illinois I was a former Village Trustee in Park Forest and a Rich Township Trustee as well. We travel a great deal and our 'hobby' is Harness Racing. I became a licensed driver only 4 years ago and entered the record books by becoming the first driver ever to win his first race on the sports biggest stage, the Meadowlands in New Jersey. This month I drove (finished 3rd) at Balmoral Park in Crete. Hawthorne race course will be the place we'll race in August.
Rich East? So-so memories....some good, some not too pleasant. Park Forest itself? Been through there twice in past two weeks and what a terrible mess it appears to be - sorry to sound negative but WOW! Couldn't believe our eyes. I wish you all well, have a fun time and maybe next time around I'll make it 'home.'
